Antoine's Extraordinary Journey

Sonic was getting annoyed with Antoine lately. He seemed to 
want to know what everyone was doing all the time. He walked 
over to Sally who was being interrogated by Antoine yet again.

"Antoine! Stop it! Stop asking me all these questions! You are 
so annoying!" Sally was saying.

"Je suis désolé, princess. I was just-"

"What does that mean?" Sonic said.

"Oh, Sonique. I would expect you would not know."

"Je suis désolé means sorry, Sonic." Sally said, and turned back 
to Antoine.

"I don't care how désolé you are. You still don't have the right 
to know everything that's going on!" Sally cried.

"Yeah, and uh... Ant, I hate to say this, but no-one really likes 
you." Sonic said. Sally gave him a warning look, but Sonic ignored 
it. Antoine looked taken aback at this statement.

"ZAT IS IT!" he cried. "I 'ave 'ad enough! I 'ave decided to 
QUIT ze freedom fighters!" 

"Ant, you're kidding, right?" Sonic reasoned, "Cos if you quit, 
you'll probably get roboticised."

"I 'ave made it a point NOT to listen to you, Sonique." Antoine 
said.

"Fine. But I'm not savin' ya when you get roboticised." Antoine 
just walked away.

"Good one, Sonic. You're a walking disaster!" Sally said.

"Hey, don't talk to Sonic like that!" It was Tails. He had come 
flying toward them without them noticing.

"You shouldn't have been eavesdropping, Tails." Sally retorted.

"Hey, don't talk to the big guy like that!" Sonic said, mimicking 
Tails. Sonic and Tails high-fived each other. Sally walked off. 
Sonic rolled his eyes.

"Touchy!"

As Antoine packed his things, he thought about what he would do when 
he left. He would go to the dark side of Mobius, where he would live 
underground and feed on small animals. 
*Oh, zat would be ze life!* he thought. 

The Freedom Fighters said their goodbyes to Antoine, and he departed 
from Knothole.

*Oh! I must 'ave been walking for zree days at least!* he 
thought an hour later. He spotted a lake. 
*Water!* he thought with glee. He lapped up the water and splashed 
it on his face. 
He looked at his reflection, and saw a dark figure coming up 
behind him.

"What's the matter, Ant? Tired already?" Sonic said, smirking. 
Antoine jumped up.

"Sonique! You 'ave no right to follow me!"

"Hey I was just passing by." Sonic said truthfully. He had been 
on his way to Uncle Chuck's when he spotted Antoine kneeling over 
to drink some water.

"I am perfectly fine. Leave me be." He explained and hurried off. 
Sonic shrugged and pushed on to Uncle Chuck's.
